*If you have a student that has never participated in Policy before, and wants to try it out, they are welcome to sign up and compete, regardless of their individual status (varsity/novice). Just keep in mind that Policy runs constantly during the tournament, so if a Varsity student participates in Policy, they won't be able to act as a judge for your school.
**Students competing in Policy or Congress may NOT double enter in any other event due to them running through both debate and speech rounds
A judge is required for every 2 debate entries and every 6 speech entries.
Reminder, Varsity students can judge novice students! To lower the judge burden of the schools, please feel free to use your varsity students and double enter judges in both the Debate and Speech categories (if not competing in debate events at the tournament)
The congressional docket can be found on the Utah Debate Coaches website: Congress Legislation – Utah Debate Coaches Association
